About

An ISACA Canberra chapter evening session with Rue Maharaj, a cyber security practitioner working in Victorian state critical infrastructure defence. The talk covers SCADA and operational environments in critical infrastructure organisations, why water, electricity and healthcare providers are high value targets, the psychological profiles of the attackers who go after them, and what an effective incident response programme looks like for essential services. Runs 5:00pm to 7:30pm. A price is not published.

ISACA

ISACA is the international association for IT governance, risk, audit and security professionals, and its Australian and New Zealand chapters run a steady programme of local events. The Melbourne chapter hosts evening sessions and webinars on topics such as third-party risk, zero trust and AI governance, often at member firms' offices on Collins Street. The Wellington chapter holds monthly meetings and an annual Education Day with workshops in November. Separate chapter pages exist for ISACA Perth, which runs the SecureIT conference each October, and ISACA Hyderabad, which runs the Fusion annual conference. Most chapter events are open to non-members and count towards CPE.
