An ISACA Perth chapter professional development session with Akshi Singh, Risk Manager at Curtin University, treating AI risk as an enterprise risk problem rather than an IT control problem. Using a university strategic risk register as a case study, the session traces how AI adoption cascades across cyber, workforce, academic integrity, reputation and compliance, then walks through a governance response built on a risk appetite statement, RACI ownership, use case sign off, human oversight, data handling limits and monitoring. Aimed at IT risk, audit and governance professionals. Runs 12:00pm to 1:00pm AWST on Zoom. Free for all registrants.

About the Organiser

ISACA

ISACA is the international association for IT governance, risk, audit and security professionals, and its Australian and New Zealand chapters run a steady programme of local events. The Melbourne chapter hosts evening sessions and webinars on topics such as third-party risk, zero trust and AI governance, often at member firms' offices on Collins Street. The Wellington chapter holds monthly meetings and an annual Education Day with workshops in November. Separate chapter pages exist for ISACA Perth, which runs the SecureIT conference each October, and ISACA Hyderabad, which runs the Fusion annual conference. Most chapter events are open to non-members and count towards CPE.
