Kawaiicon

Kawaiicon is New Zealand's largest hacker conference and the successor to Kiwicon, run by the same crew in Wellington. It fills the Michael Fowler Centre for two days late each year with a single track of talks that range from serious vulnerability research to the deliberately absurd, plus training days beforehand and a social programme that is as much the event as the talks. Tickets are cheap for a conference of its size and sell out, with reduced rates for students and the unwaged. Kawaiicon 4 runs in 2026.
